Game Ideas

This will be updated but please have a look.

For my first game idea:

I will use an FPS outlook to showcase this idea, but the game's core can be used in many different genres.

Now here me out. The core of this idea is a GAME LOOP.

Now let me set the scene of this example to try and showcase my idea.

  • Five different characters to choose from (tank, healer, support, big burst dmg, sniper)
  • Player one is to destroy an objective. Player two is to protect that objective.
  • Let me now break down this idea into an FPS 30second example.

Each turn is played in the SAME 30-second loop.

First turn:

Player 1 picks big burst dmg and runs to the objective starters to dmg it

Second turn:

Player 2 picks the sniper and kills the player, one big burst dmg player at the 15-second mark. They also have 15 more seconds to do something.

Third turn:

Player one picks their sniper and kills player two snipers at the 13-second mark resulting in the big burst dmg player not being killed and continues with what player 1 set it up in the first turn. They also have 17 seconds to do something.

Fourth turn:

Player 2 picks their support and casts a shield on their sniper, so at 13 seconds, the enemy sniper shot destroys the shield but doesn't kill player two snipers, which lets player two snipers kill their big burst dmg player at the 15-second mark. They also have the remaining time to do as they want.

This is only an example of my idea, and I hope it showcases that. I know this example may be a bit much to create, but the main idea of the game is the GAME LOOP. This example was only done with a simple 1v1 but imagine a 2v2 or 1v1v1v1 where each player has their own five players, or maybe the 2v2 has the same five. You could play around with this idea a lot.

Game Idea number 2:

This idea is inspired by games such as portal.

There are a few ways this key feature could play. Connection is a person or thing linked or associated with something else.

Batteries/power etc., however, you want to connect the two.

Not comes in the portal idea. Portal is a puzzle game where to get around a test where the player creates a wormhole-like connection between two flat surfaces.

Now for my batteries idea coming into play with this concept. I have two ideas about this concept.

First, the player has a ‘charge station’ where they charge up their power. It is their job to keep another object “powered” and charged. A few ideas for this would be the player needs to keep the objects of a tower defence game charged. Or a simpler version of devices that spawn and need to keep them all powered as best as possible, add walls, so the player needs to move around. This idea can be used in many different ways,

The second is a puzzle-like style game where you have two or more robots that only have one charge between them, and you need to move the robots to set locations, shoot a pulse of power out to the other robot charging it, and the player can now use that one to complete tasks.
