The Concept statement:
Whoever said the sky’s the limit when you can cast a portal spell summoning your tower from mid-air, building as high as you want! Sounds simple, right, but as you start to find out timing, wind and unstable stacking might be your downfall.
Genre or category of the game:
The genres I believe will fit this game the best are timebase action, strategy, and fantasy. I have chosen these three because timing will be a critical strategy for building up the towers, making sure they are stable, and getting the most combination points. Action because features I hope to add in later. Lastly, fantasy because of the magical factors and mythical creatures.
Audience and competitive analysis:
The target audience for this game is probably more towards casual players, younger to middle-aged, as it is a game that would do well on mobile phones. I have come up with these targets because it is a game that would work well on mobile phones—known to have a majority player base of women, age 16 to 44 (this chart does not consider users under 16). Also with the game being a one-button/tap keeping the game fun yet straightforward. The type of game you might find a few hours had gone by before you realised. The game concept is not that difficult to work out, making it easy to pick up for anyone and easy enough that even kids can play it.
